Supply Chain Professional (Mechanical & Electrical)
Responsibilities
- Aids and supports projects and operations in the direct procurement process.
- Prepares draft project-specific Request for Quotations (RFQ) for equipment suppliers and/or manufacturers, ensuring compliance with GBC contract terms.
- Prequalifies potential bidders.
- Participates in technical bid evaluations.
- Prepares purchase recommendations.
- Prepares purchase order (PO) content before releasing to the purchasing department.
- Reviews POs before releasing to suppliers.
- Maintains oversight of the order lifecycle from submittal approval to shipment or assignment.
- Engages with vendors regularly to monitor delivery activities and verify receipt of major packages.
- Contributes to the quarterly company market publication.
- Counsels and mentors less experienced team members.
- Fosters a positive and inclusive work environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- 5-7 years of experience in engineering, subcontracting, sourcing, or supply chain.
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Knowledge of subcontract documents, drawings, and specifications.
- Understanding of contractual terms, conditions, and risk mitigation.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiating skills.
- Advanced oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with changing priorities.
Benefits
Salary range: $95,000 - $115,000 plus benefits and retirement program.
