About the role

Develops logistics strategies and recommends changes to processes to keep programs ahead of schedule. Assesses, manages and works to reduce risk factors. Enhances workflow by analyzing and developing logistics plans that affect production, distribution, and inventory. Creates and reviews procedures for distribution and inventory management to maximize customer satisfaction and minimize cost. Conducts distribution and network studies, monitors inventory and analyzes requirements to develop strategies to achieve desired delivery times and order fill rates. Maintains appropriate records and prepares reports. Coordinates logistics activities with internal/external customers.

Responsibilities

  • Assesses, manages and works to reduce risk factors.
  • Enhances workflow by analyzing and developing logistics plans that affect production, distribution, and inventory.
  • Creates and reviews procedures for distribution and inventory management to maximize customer satisfaction and minimize cost.
  • Covers distribution and network studies, monitors inventory and analyzes requirements to develop strategies to achieve desired delivery times and order fill rates.
  • Maintains appropriate records and prepares reports.
  • Covers coordination of logistics activities with internal/external customers.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree in a Logistics field, Business Administration, Management, or related field.
  • Three (3 or more) years of experience in program/project management, financial improvement and audit readiness (FIAR), supply chain data analysis expertise, preferably related to the logistics, data analytics, property administration, and fleet management.
  • Have an advanced understanding of Logistics, Warehousing, and Property Management to support PFPA Warehouse systems and infrastructure.
  • Two (2) to three (3) years of progressive experience in facilities management, operations, or a related technical field.
  • Recent experience within last 3-7 years leading, supporting, and providing integrated logistics management support and have managed three or more direct reports.
  • Experience with Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS).

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated strong oral and written communication.
  • Ability to work in a team environment, as well as independently.
  • Relevant experience producing, leading, integrating and or assisting.
  • Asset Management via the approved Accountable Property System of Record (APSR).
  • Inventory Management: Review, inventory, redistribution of spares, repair parts, material distribution system management, stock level management.
  • Supply Chain defect management in accordance with DLA Supply Discrepancy Reporting (SDR).
