About the role
The Supplier Performance Manager (SPM) role requires interfacing with the purchasing and supplier quality teams, as well as the supply base, to enhance supplier performance. This includes deep dives into suppliers and their sub-tier suppliers to identify risks, ensure on-time/on-quality delivery, and facilitate industrialization and production readiness.
Responsibilities
- Assess, approve, and monitor suppliers
- Report regularly on supplier performance, risks, projects, and other relevant information to internal and/or external stakeholders and customers
- Support supplier development
- Implement supplier performance management strategies for designated suppliers
- Define and implement supplier development key targets based on business needs
- Create and execute the Supplier Surveillance Plan and audit schedule
- Monitor and communicate supplier performance actions and plans (including risk mitigation plans, supplier production readiness, etc.)
- Implement relevant Supplier Key Performance Indicators to effectively monitor supplier performance
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field, with 3+ years of experience in a Quality System, and 2+ years in materials, purchasing, or lean manufacturing, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 3+ years of management or supervisory experience preferred
- Ability to travel frequently as needed
Qualifications
- Quick learner with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, maintain focus, and adapt to various challenges
- Experienced in teamwork and project management
- Priority management and conflict resolution skills (both internally and externally)
- Excellent written, verbal communication, and presentation skills
- Executive presence and ability to build successful supplier relationships and represent the company externally
- Understanding of change management
- Team player and ability to coach others
- Innovative and solution-oriented mindset
- Strong sense of time organization and urgency
- Knowledge of aviation manufacturing, supply chain, planning, engineering, and quality concepts; machine, sheet metal, casting, forging, forming, composite, and/or raw material commodities
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Familiarity with ERP systems (Oracle and/or SAP preferred) and SRM
- Ability to influence others and lead small teams while working independently

Pay
Estimated salary range for this role: $88,200 to $127,300 per year.
Schedule
Full-time position.
