SUPPLEMENTAL ONLY- SOCCER (GIRLS) (HEAD COACH)

Location: Blanche Ely High School, Pompano Beach

About the Role

This position is responsible for coaching high school athletic teams, ensuring athletes develop skills, sportsmanship, and teamwork. Both Head Coach and Assistant Coach roles are described below.

Responsibilities

• Teach and develop athletes' skills in the sport.
• Impart knowledge of the sport, including rules, strategies, and techniques.
• Foster a positive and competitive team environment.
• Ensure compliance with school and state athletic regulations.
• Computer skills as required for the position (e.g., tracking progress, communication).

Requirements

Head Coach Qualifications

• Standard high school diploma or satisfactory completion of a General Education Development (GED) Testing Program.
• Valid Florida Educator Certificate or Athletic Coaching Certificate from the Florida Department of Education (required for applicants without a Florida Educator Certificate).
• Demonstrated knowledge of the sport and ability to teach it effectively.

Assistant Coach Qualifications

• Standard high school diploma or satisfactory completion of an approved General Educational Development (GED) Testing Program.
• Knowledge of the activity and ability to teach participants.
