About the Role
This posting is for Head Coach and Assistant Coach positions.
Responsibilities
- Impart knowledge of the sport/activity to participants.
- Perform essential coaching duties as required for the position.
Requirements
- Standard high school diploma or satisfactory completion of an approved General Educational Development (GED) Testing Program.
- Knowledge of the sport/activity and ability to teach it effectively.
- Computer skills as required for the position.
Qualifications
Head Coach
- Valid Florida Educator Certificate or Athletic Coaching Certificate from the Florida Department of Education (required by Florida State Statute).
Assistant Coach
- No additional certifications beyond the minimum requirements.
Pay
Compensation follows the district’s new-hire teacher salary schedule for Head Coaches and the classroom monitor hourly rate for Assistant Coaches.
