SUPPLEMENTAL ONLY- GIRLS BASKETBALL (HEAD COACH)

Position Goal

The Head Coach and Assistant Coach positions are available at Plantation High.

Essential Performance Responsibilities

• Develop and implement training programs for athletes.
• Manage team logistics including scheduling practices and games.
• Provide guidance and support to athletes in their personal and athletic development.
• Comply with all state and federal regulations regarding athletics.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

The Head Coach must hold a valid Florida Educator Certificate. The Assistant Coach must have a standard high school diploma or GED, and possess knowledge of the activity and computer skills as required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Prior coaching experience is preferred for both positions.

SIGNIFICANT CONTACTS-frequency, contact, purpose

Contact with students, parents, other coaches, and community members is essential for the success of the program.

Physical Requirements

Ability to work outdoors during all seasons, including extreme weather conditions, and to lift up to 50 pounds.

Terms of Employment

This is a temporary/substitute position.

Skills

Strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to manage time effectively are required.

Competencies

Knowledge of the sport, ability to motivate athletes, and proficiency in technology are valued.

Certifications

A valid Florida Educator Certificate is required for the Head Coach position.
