SUPPLEMENTAL ONLY- GIRLS BASKETBALL (ASSISTANT COACH)

Position Goal

The Head Coach and Assistant Coach positions are available at Plantation High.

Essential Performance Responsibilities

• Develop and implement coaching strategies for the sport.
• Provide instruction and guidance to participants.
• Maintain a safe and positive learning environment.
• Comply with all applicable laws and regulations.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

The Head Coach must have:

• A standard high school diploma or GED.
• A valid Florida Educator Certificate.
• The ability to impart knowledge of the sport.

The Assistant Coach must have:

• A standard high school diploma or GED.
• A knowledge of the activity.
• Computer skills as required for the position.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Prior coaching experience is preferred.

Physical Requirements

Ability to perform physical activities such as running, lifting, and carrying equipment.

Terms of Employment

Temporary/Subs classification.

Skills

Knowledge of the sport/activity, ability to impart knowledge, computer skills.

Competencies

Leadership, communication, teamwork, safety awareness.

Certifications

Florida Educator Certificate for the Head Coach.
