SUPPLEMENTAL ONLY- GIRLS BASKETBALL (ASSISTANT COACH)

POSITION GOAL

The Head Coach and Assistant Coach positions are responsible for leading and managing athletic programs at Northeast High School in Oakland Park.

ESSENTIAL PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and implement training programs for athletes.
• Manage team logistics including scheduling practices and games.
• Provide daily instruction and guidance to athletes.
• Maintain a positive and safe environment for all participants.
• Collaborate with other coaches and staff to enhance program quality.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Standard high school diploma or GED.
• Valid Florida Educator Certificate for the Head Coach.
• Knowledge of the sport and ability to teach it.
• Assistant Coach: Standard high school diploma or GED, knowledge of the activity, computer skills as required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Experience coaching at the high school level.
• Previous administrative experience in athletics.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to perform physical activities such as lifting, running, and standing for extended periods.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

• Temporary/Subs work calendar.
• Nonexempt classification.
• New Hire Teacher Salary and Classroom Monitor Hourly Rate information available upon request.

CERTIFICATIONS

• Head Coach: Valid Florida Educator Certificate.
• Assistant Coach: Athletic Coaching Certificate from the Florida Department of Education.
