SUPPLEMENTAL ONLY- COMPETITIVE CHEERLEADING (HEAD COACH)
Position Goal
The Head Coach and Assistant Coach positions are available at Plantation High School.
Essential Performance Responsibilities
- Develop and implement training programs for athletes.
- Provide guidance and instruction to athletes in their sport.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable rules and regulations.
- Maintain a positive and safe environment for all participants.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
The Head Coach must hold a standard high school diploma or equivalent, and a valid Florida Educator Certificate. The Assistant Coach must have a standard high school diploma or equivalent, and a knowledge of the activity and ability to impart this knowledge.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Preference will be given to candidates with:
- Experience coaching at the high school level.
- Previous administrative experience in athletics.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to perform physical activities such as lifting, running, and standing for extended periods of time.
Terms of Employment
This is a non-exempt position with temporary/substitute status.
Skills
Knowledge of the sport, computer skills, and ability to communicate effectively are preferred qualifications.

Certifications
Applicants must obtain an Athletic Coaching Certificate from the Florida Department of Education if they do not already hold a valid Florida Educator Certificate.
