POSITION GOAL
The Head Coach and Assistant Coach positions are responsible for leading and managing athletic teams in accordance with state regulations and school policies.
ESSENTIAL PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement training programs for athletes.
- Manage team logistics including scheduling practices and games.
- Provide guidance and support to athletes to improve their performance and sportsmanship.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, rules, and regulations.
- Collaborate with other coaches and staff to enhance team performance.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Standard high school diploma or satisfactory completion of an approved General Educational Development (GED) Testing Program.
- Florida State Statute requires all high school coaches to hold a valid Florida Educator Certificate.
- Applicants without a valid Florida Educator Certificate must obtain an Athletic Coaching Certificate from the Florida Department of Education.
- Knowledge of the sport and the ability to impart this knowledge.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Knowledge of the activity and ability to impart this knowledge to participants.
- Computer skills as required for the position.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Physical requirements include but are not limited to: standing for extended periods, walking, lifting up to 25 pounds, and occasional kneeling, crouching, and crawling.

CERTIFICATIONS
