About the role

This position is located in the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), New Orleans Division. This position(s) primary purpose is to manage and oversee all aspects of the Business Operations Program (BOP) within the respective DEA Domestic Division.

Responsibilities

  • Reviewing and structuring organization to optimize use of resources and maximize efficiency and effectiveness of the organization.
  • Ensuring administrative, technical, and professional work complies with appropriate guidelines, policies, and approved internal controls.
  • Managing performance audits during site visits to evaluate overall effectiveness of the compliance audit and review programs.
  • Identifying administrative ambiguities and process gaps to establish solutions and streamline division's administrative process.
  • Supporting management in logistics functions, such as supply, inventory, accountable property, facility, transportation/fleet, etc. and its maintenance.

Requirements

  • Conditions of employment: U.S. Citizenship is required. Employment is subject to the successful completion of a background investigation. Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance. Incumbent is subject to random drug testing. Successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check.
  • Qualifications: Applicants applying for the GS-14 must meet one of the following requirements: Have at least one full year of specialized experience that is at least equivalent to work performed at the GS-13 grade level. Specific qualifications include managing business operations activities and functions of an office and related to at least two of the following programs: Administrative Support Services, Human Resource Management, Inspections and Internal Controls, Security, Logistics, and Task Force Management; planning, tracking and reporting on accomplishments of program, goals and milestones that determine program efficiency; providing technical direction to subordinate employees on work to be accomplished; resolving complex and highly controversial issues and problems; and assessing efficiency of the programs through studies, data collection and data analysis.
