About the role

The Air Force Civilian Service is seeking a Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist to lead logistics programs and ensure mission readiness.

Responsibilities

  • Directs complex logistics programs, manages diverse teams, and ensures mission readiness.
  • Develops and implements logistics policies, manages organizational resources, and improves operational efficiencies.
  • Ensures compliance with federal regulations, DoD directives, and transportation policies.
  • Buils collaborative partnerships, leads organizational change, mentors employees, and makes sound decisions in dynamic, high-tempo environments.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in DoD logistics operations, supply chain management, warehouse operations, transportation management, and cargo distribution.
  • Exceptional leadership skills in directing logistics programs and managing diverse teams.
  • Extensive experience in developing and implementing logistics policies, managing organizational resources, and improving operational efficiencies.
  • Extensive experience in ensuring compliance with applicable federal regulations, DoD directives, and transportation policies.
  • Recognized for building collaborative partnerships, leading organizational change, mentoring employees, and making sound decisions in dynamic, high-tempo environments.

Qualifications

  • US citizenship is required.
  • Must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing.
  • Must be able to obtain and retain a TOP SECRET (TS) security clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
  • Must meet appropriate certification requirements IAW the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) within 24 months of accepting this position.
