SUPERVISORY LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST
Duties Summary
You will serve as a SUPERVISORY LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the Aviation Operations Department of NAVSUP WEAPON SYSTEMS SUPPORT.
Requirements
- At least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
- Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
- Mastery of logistics management principles, including supply strategic planning, requirements determination, material budgeting and forecasting, inventory management, and end-to-end supply chain management for complex systems, preferably within the Department of Defense (DoD) or Naval Supply Systems.
Examples of specialized experience include:
- Directing a large workforce by setting performance standards, managing budgets, making hiring decisions, handling complex employee relations issues, and developing comprehensive training programs;
- Applying expertise in weapon systems life cycle support from initial planning and provisioning to final disposal using knowledge provisioning technical data, allowancing, commercial and organic repair processes, and transaction item reporting;
- Negotiating and communicating effectively with senior executives, high-ranking military officials, and officials from other federal agencies and defense contractors to influence, persuade, and defend major programs and policies;
- Directing the formulation, justification, and execution of an annual budget, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and compliance with funding requirements.
