Responsibilities
- Serve as the senior computer specialist functioning as the director of External Support.
- Lead a large, multi-faceted team providing critical Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence (C4I) services, secure communications, strategic network infrastructure, and direct operational support.
- Create long-range ADP development plans in the areas of equipment, software, communications, contracting, facilities, security, and civilian personnel matters.
- Cookordination plans and operational actions with commands for the operation and support of installed systems.
- Provide operational direction and guidance for the development of concepts, principles, techniques and operational planning for the transmission, receipt, and processing of classified intelligence and operational data.
- Monitor, research and keep abreast of the latest developments in equipment, software, and concepts within the command, control, intelligence and communications.
- Achieve the full range of management functions, such as planning/directing/assigning responsibility in support of the External Support Department.
- Communicate directly with the Commanding Officer regarding personnel status, work progress, problems/issues and recommend appropriate action.

Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
- Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.
- New employees to the Department of the Navy will be required to successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check.
- Must be registered for Selective Service.
- Must obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty.
- Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
- Must successfully complete a Counterintelligence (CI) polygraph with No Deception Indicated (NDI).
- Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana).
- Must obtain and maintain a U.S. Passport.
Qualifications
- Directly applicable experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position.
- Experience demonstrating the following competencies: Attention to Detail, Customer Service, Oral Communication, and Problem Solving.
- Experience initiating, planning, designing, organizing and executing C4I systems architecture/projects and strategies.
- Experience planning, budgeting and programming for manpower resources.
- Experience supervising and assigning work to employees based on priorities, difficulty and requirements of assignments and skill level.
- Experience managing the development and maintenance of inter-services support agreements (ISSA) and memoranda of understanding (MOUs).
