About the role

The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is seeking a Full-Time Supervisory IT Specialist (SYSADMIN) to work at Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC) - 75th Air Base Wing, on Hill AFB in Layton, UT. This position offers a rewarding career with benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the Application and Server Support Branch within the Communications and Information Directorate.
  • Supports the 75th Air Base Wing and mission partners at Hill Air Force Base, Utah.
  • Ensures compliance with Department of War and Department of the Air Force policies, procedures, and directives.
  • Manages workload, employee appraisal, and training requirements.
  • Affirms employee timekeeping and maintains a safe, efficient, and proactive work environment.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Obtain & Maintain a Security Clearance
  • Travel on Military and Commercial Aircraft
  • Appropriate DoD Approved Cybersecurity Baseline Certificate(s)
  • Expert knowledge of cyber, IT, or IM assessment, planning, management, monitoring, and evaluation.
  • Ability to lead and manage information systems planning, development, implementation, operation, and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of functional and infrastructure requirements and their translation into technical requirements.
  • Ability to research and analyze external products to meet mission requirements.
  • Leadership skills to hold others accountable for measurable results.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions of a unit and lead, mentor, motivate, and appraise subordinate staff.

Qualifications

Expert knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques of cyber, IT, or IM assessment, planning, management, monitoring, and evaluation as well as knowledge of the principles, methods, or tools for developing, scheduling, coordinating, managing cyber, IT, or IM projects and resources, monitoring and inspecting costs, work, and contractor performance.

Skills

Ability to lead and manage information systems planning, development, implementation, operation, and maintenance as well as ability to make decisions or recommendations that significantly impact important agency cyber, IT, or IM policies or programs.

Pay

2026 Salary Range: $89,508-$138,370 Yearly
