SUPERVISORY HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (RECRUITMENT/PLACEMENT)
About the role
You will be responsible for the recruitment and compensation program management. You will provide advice to all levels of management officials within serviced commands on complex staffing issues. You will provide administrative and technical supervision to the assigned staff and resolve problems/issues that involve conflicting or incomplete information. You will set and adjust short-term priorities and prepare work completion schedules.
Responsibilities
- Develop and evaluate subordinate employees’ performance standards and give advice and instruction on work and administrative matters.
- Aid in developing sort and long range staffing plans to meet forecasted mission requirements and advise management on a wide range of staffing issues.
- Review past recruitment practices and local labor market conditions to advise on future staffing strategies.
- Manage and maintain full visibility over all Recruitment and Placement Authorities (RPAs) and provide advice/assistance in all stages of the recruitment process.
- Perform a variety of compensation related services as it relates to the tentative job offer and provide guidance for pay determinations for new and continuing employees and advise on the development of full compensation packages.
Requirements
Must be determined suitable for federal employment. Must participate in the direct deposit pay program. Qualifications
To qualify for a GS-13, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
- Experience planning, developing, coordinating and administering broad and comprehensive staffing programs for all activities.
- Experience providing advisory support to all levels of management officials on complex staffing issues and delivering HR projects in a high-quality customer service environment.
- Experience applying analytical techniques in resolving problems and/or issues that involve conflicting or incomplete information.
- Experience prioritizing work, planning, executing and evaluating long-range work goals and specific programs to accomplish mission requirements.
- Experience ensuring equality in determining qualifications, selections, assignments, training, promotions, details, discipline and awards to employees.
