About the role
The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is seeking a Supervisory General Engineer 003102481M to support the Sustainment of the Air Launched Cruise Missile (ALCM) Weapon System at Tinker AFB in Midwest City, OK.
Responsibilities
- Leads and supervises a team of multi-disciplined engineers in identifying, distributing and balancing workload and coach team members in the selection and application of appropriate problem-solving methods and techniques;
- Develop strategies for training, mentoring, and continued development of subordinate engineering workforce;
- Identifies and resolve highly complex problems crossing organizational boundaries and promulgate solutions;
- Engages with an extended and geographically dispersed stakeholders including subject matter experts from across the Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center, Department of Energy, National Nuclear Security Administration, Air Force Global Strike Command, Air Force Research Labs Support, Contractors, and Senior Department of Defense officials to ensure ALCM technical activities are successfully planned, coordinated, and executed;
- Performs mission analysis, capability requirements allocation analysis, top-level design synthesis, and functional analysis and allocation;
- Engages in concept planning; design and development; nuclear hardness and certification, integration, testing and verification at the nuclear cruise missile weapon system, element or component level;
- Develops and presents technical briefings and reports to Senior Executives;
- Responsible for leading all Division field and depot technical support including on-site AFGSC and USSTRATCOM generation support;
- Responsible for leading the Engineering Branch to standardize and improve Systems Engineering processes across the Division, specifically in improving all DoD 5000.02 Systems Engineering Documents, Technical Reviews, application of the AFMC mandated Systems Engineering Assessment Model, and Security Systems Engineering Health Assessments.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship
- Ability to obtain & maintain a Top-Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility
- Employee must meet the education and specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards, Group Coverage Qualification Standard for Professional and Scientific Positions
Qualifications
- A professional engineering degree at the bachelor’s level from an ABET accredited institution is highly desired.
- An advanced engineering degree, such as a Master’s or a PhD is preferred.
Pay
The typical 2026 salary range for this position is $125,776 - $192,331 (including locality).

This is a full-time position.
