About the role
The Air Force Civilian Service is seeking a General Engineer (Chief Engineering & Planning Flight GS-0801-13) to lead engineering projects and manage teams at the 914th Civil Engineer Squadron in Niagara Falls, NY. This position requires planning, directing, and supervising engineering activities.
Responsibilities
- Plan, direct, and organize engineering projects and programs
- Develop and implement project management strategies
- Provide technical support and guidance to staff
- Ensure compliance with safety, security, and EEO regulations
- Mentor and develop subordinates
- Evaluate and recommend solutions to complex engineering issues
Requirements
- US citizenship
- Secret security clearance
- Professional engineering degree from an ABET-accredited institution (highly desired)
- Experience in engineering, program management, and acquisition regulations
- Ability to mentor and motivate staff
- Knowledge of safety, security, personnel management, and EEO regulations
Qualifications
- 6-9 years of AFCS experience
- Knowledge of engineering theories, principles, and practices
- Experience in project planning, program development, and design
- Ability to interpret and apply rules, regulations, and procedures
Skills
