Supervisory General Engineer

About the role

The Air Force Civilian Service is seeking a General Engineer (Chief Engineering & Planning Flight GS-0801-13) to lead engineering projects and manage teams at the 914th Civil Engineer Squadron in Niagara Falls, NY. This position requires planning, directing, and supervising engineering activities.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and organize engineering projects and programs
• Develop and implement project management strategies
• Provide technical support and guidance to staff
• Ensure compliance with safety, security, and EEO regulations
• Mentor and develop subordinates
• Evaluate and recommend solutions to complex engineering issues

Requirements

• US citizenship
• Secret security clearance
• Professional engineering degree from an ABET-accredited institution (highly desired)
• Experience in engineering, program management, and acquisition regulations
• Ability to mentor and motivate staff
• Knowledge of safety, security, personnel management, and EEO regulations

Qualifications

• 6-9 years of AFCS experience
• Knowledge of engineering theories, principles, and practices
• Experience in project planning, program development, and design
• Ability to interpret and apply rules, regulations, and procedures
