About the role

The Transportation Supervisor provides direct supervision for a group of assigned Drivers. They are responsible for ensuring safe, timely, and accurate deliveries through effective use of multi-stop routing systems and dispatch procedures. Key responsibilities include reviewing driver logs, hours of service, and DOT requirements to maintain compliance with all relevant regulations.

Responsibilities

Achieve safe, timely, and accurate deliveries via thorough knowledge of multi-stop routing systems and dispatch procedures.
Review driver logs, hours of service, and other DOT requirements to ensure compliance with all state, local, and federal regulations.
Cookordination activities with other distribution center departments to ensure accurate and timely deliveries.
Coordinate special projects as assigned by the position supervisor.

Requirements

A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred.
At least 1 year of transportation management experience in the food distribution industry is required.
Knowledgeable about DOT regulations is essential.
AS/400 experience is preferred.
Truck routing software experience is preferred.
Basic competency with Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Outlook, Word) is necessary.
The ability to work a varied and flexible schedule is required.
The ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely is required.

Qualifications

Benefits

Pay rate: $70,000 to $85,000 per year.
Eligible to participate in the annual incentive plan with a target incentive of 10% of your base annual salary.
Starting schedule is Sunday to Wednesday 11AM to 11PM.
