About the role

The Transportation Supervisor provides direct supervision for a group of assigned Drivers. They are responsible for ensuring safe, timely, and accurate deliveries through effective use of multi-stop routing systems and dispatch procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Review driver logs, hours of service, and other DOT requirements to ensure compliance with all state, local, and federal regulations.
  • Cook up activities with other distribution center departments to ensure accurate and timely deliveries.
  • Coordinate with other departments to meet delivery schedules and customer needs.
  • Handle special projects as assigned by the position supervisor.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred.
  • At least 1 year of transportation management experience in the food distribution industry is required.
  • Knowledgeable about DOT regulations is necessary.
  • AS/400 experience is preferred.
  • Truck routing software experience is preferred.
  • Basic competency with Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Outlook, Word) is required.
  • The ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely is required.

Qualifications

  • Have a high school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Have at least 1 year of transportation management experience in the food distribution industry.
  • Be knowledgeable about DOT regulations.
  • AS/400 experience is preferred.
  • Truck routing software experience preferred.
  • Be able to work a varied and flexible schedule.
  • Have basic competency with Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Outlook, Word).

Benefits

  • Pay rate: $65,000 to $75,000 per year, DOE.
  • Up to 10% potential bonus.
  • Sunday-Thursday 5:00pm startDay 1.
