Supervisor, Transportation
About the role
The Transportation Supervisor provides direct supervision for a group of assigned Drivers. They oversee delivery schedules, monitor compliance with DOT regulations, and coordinate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
Responsibilities
- Achieve safe, timely, and accurate deliveries through effective use of multi-stop routing systems and dispatch procedures.
- Review driver logs, hours of service, and DOT requirements to ensure compliance with all state, local, and federal regulations.
- Cook a variety of dishes to meet customer needs and preferences. Ensure food quality and presentation are up to standard.
- Coordinate activities with other distribution center departments to facilitate accurate and timely deliveries.
- Handle special projects as assigned by the position supervisor.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- A bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred.
- At least 1 year of transportation management experience in the food distribution industry is required.
- Knowledgeable about DOT regulations is essential.
- AS/400 experience is preferred.
- Truck routing software experience is preferred.
- Basic competency with Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Outlook, Word) is required.
- The ability to work a varied and flexible schedule is necessary.
- The ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely is required.
Qualifications

- Pay rate: $72,500 per year.
- This role is also eligible to participate in the annual incentive plan with a target incentive of 10% of your base annual salary.
