About the role
This position oversees or assists with managing the administrative operations of a work unit, including budget, procurement, and facilities management.
Responsibilities
- Administers administration programs that include records management, property management, supply, procurement, and vehicle fleet management.
- Assists in the development and execution of the station's annual GOE and Minor Construction budget.
- Ensures efficient utilization of facility space by monitoring, evaluating, and planning based on program changes and demands.
- Works with appropriate entities for acquisitions, maintenance, and improvements.
- Participates in the preparation of the annual operating plan; consolidates and prepares estimates for presentation to the Director and other station management officials.
- Collaborates with the Budget Officer to review orders to verify the need and ensure each section receives the appropriate share of the funds available.
- Oversees the procurement, issuance, storage, replacement, repair, turn-in and disposal of office supplies, equipment, and furniture.
Requirements
Required qualifications include:
- One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower level (GS-11) in the normal line of progression that demonstrated knowledge of the methods and procedures for providing or performing a variety of functions and services applicable to the position to be filled.
- Ability to plan, organize, and control work involving diverse activities.
- Ability to gain cooperation and coordinate the work of others.
- Skill in oral and written communications.

- One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower level (GS-11) in the normal line of progression that demonstrated knowledge of the methods and procedures for providing or performing a variety of functions and services applicable to the position to be filled.
- Specialized experience may have been gained in the Federal, Military, or private sectors.
- Specialized experience is defined as experience overseeing or assisting with managing the administrative operations of a work unit.
- The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service.
Pay
Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00AM - 4:30PM. Compressed/Flexible: Not Available. Telework: This position is eligible for situational (ad hoc) telework only. The selectee is required to report to the official duty station each scheduled workday. Telework may be approved only on a case-by-case basis with supervisory approval. Virtual: This is not a virtual position.
