About the Role
Frontline, department-based leadership position that supervises daily functions of an assigned department. Provides clear direction and manages people, processes, structures, and/or programs that support direct and indirect care. Demonstrates behaviors aligned with organizational culture and drives comprehensive strategies to achieve desired outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations and staff within the department in collaboration with the department manager.
- Participate in and contribute to the performance management and review process.
- Implement departmental plans and priorities identified by accountable leaders.
- May participate and recommend in the hiring and selection process.
- Respond promptly to meet or exceed customer needs.
- Follow standards of performance and work processes in designated areas; coordinate staff scheduling and assignments.
- Review and approve administrative functions such as time, payroll, and expenses.
- Steward productive use of resources (people, financial, equipment, supplies, materials) to achieve commitments and quality standards.
- Employ effective and respectful communication; develop an environment of mutual confidence and trust through collaborative relationships.
- Communicate goals, standards, program expectations, service performance, and how the work serves organizational objectives.
- Proactively recognize, address, and/or escalate organizational, operational, or team conflicts.

Specialized Supervisor Roles
Supervisor, Specialty
- Responsible for budget and supply chain site leadership of a combination of FTEs, multi-small site geographic scope, or specialty/procedural area complexity (e.g., OR and Cath lab).
- Requires in-depth knowledge of ERP and other integrated supply chain systems.
- Implements ministry supply chain logistics optimization strategies to improve operating margins.
- Partners with Region Leader to champion and implement site inventory management capability.
Supervisor, Logistics
- Responsible for budget and supply chain site leadership of typically less than 15 FTEs, including multi-small site geographic scope with limited procedural area complexity.
- Maintains relationships with clinical leaders and other department leaders.
- Implements ministry supply chain logistics optimization strategies to improve operating margins.
- Partners with Region Leader to champion and implement site inventory management capability.
Requirements
- Associate degree in Business Administration, Finance, or equivalent healthcare Supply Chain experience.
- 1-3 years of verifiable, Supply Chain-related experience in a progressive work environment.
Additional Qualifications
- Previous healthcare Supply Chain experience (preferred).
Physical & Mental Requirements
- Indirect/healthcare support services environment with rare clinical/patient-facing work.
- Continuous work time indoors under temperature-controlled and well-lit conditions; occasional variable external environmental conditions.
- Occasional lifting up to 30 pounds unassisted; frequent travel and computer use.
- Continuous sitting; may require rare long periods of walking, standing, stooping, bending, pulling, and pushing.
- Must adapt to frequent interruptions, shifting priorities, and stressful situations.
- Ability to attend to tasks until complete, understand complex ideas, and manage multiple tasks over extended periods.
- Frequent ability to read small print and hear normal sounds/voice patterns; give/receive instructions verbally and via devices with some background noise.
- Perform frequent manual dexterity activities and occasional grasping/handling.
- Continuous attention to maintaining a safe working environment and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
