Supervisor, Supply Chain

Supervises a team applying best standards and practices in Supply Chain and Logistics, ensuring compliance with relevant guidelines. Manages resolution of inventory, asset, and vendor/supplier deficiencies while implementing recommendations to optimize and transform current processes. Oversees research plans to streamline business operating models and facilitates strategic decision-making based on utilization, quality, inventory levels, and customer satisfaction.

• Reviews reports (e.g., key metrics, cost analysis) for customers.
• Maintains adequate inventory levels by supervising receipt and distribution; develops processes for supply/equipment requests.
• Reviews demand forecasts to minimize obsolescence or expiration; applies strategies for automated inventory systems.
• Supervises routine inventory counts; ensures accurate product rotation and stock levels.
• Collaborates with internal and external contacts to maintain inventory control systems.
• Optimizes supply chain and operations by supervising shipping logistics, carrier evaluations, and process improvements.
• Develops and supervises research plans for new/existing business operating models.
• Implements and monitors end-to-end sourcing, procurement, and logistics processes.
• Ensures purchasing strategy aligns with national sourcing strategy; supervises purchase requests and standardization.
• Resolves purchase-related problems; identifies cost savings opportunities; acts as key contact for suppliers.
• Supervises order quantities, product evaluations, and trials; coordinates new product selection.
• Oversees compliance with state/federal regulations and company policies for purchasing, inventory, and distribution.
• Supervises best practices, quotations, and contract fulfillment; implements compliance monitoring (e.g., Joint Commission, SOX).
• Coordinates corrective actions for deficiencies; administers training on standards and compliance.
• Maintains supplier/vendor performance and relationships; supervises audit processes and contract negotiations.
• Coordinates corrective actions at scale; resolves supplier/vendor issues.
• Improves strategies for meeting operational and cost targets across suppliers/vendors.
• Provides technical analysis and reporting on utilization, quality, inventory levels, and courier routes.
• Oversees customer satisfaction; conducts monthly site visits to address open issues.
• Monitors implementation of quality improvement procedures; evaluates tools and techniques for complex analyses.
• Coordinates reports documenting analytical results for business needs.

Requirements

• Minimum two (2) years of experience with databases and spreadsheets.
• Minimum one (1) year of experience in a leadership role with or without direct reports.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Material Management, Operations Research, or related field AND minimum four (4) years of experience in purchasing, contracting, negotiations, material management, logistics, finance, or a directly related field OR
• Minimum seven (7) years of experience in purchasing, contracting, negotiations, material management, logistics, finance, or a directly related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• One (1) year of experience in healthcare or another heavily regulated industry (e.g., Banking, Manufacturing).
• Two (2) years of experience in project management.

Pay

$88,700 - $114,730 / year. Kaiser Permanente strives to offer a market-competitive total rewards package and is committed to pay equity and transparency.
