About the Role

In collaboration with the Director, the Supervisor for Medical Social Services is accountable for the 24-hour management of social services, including human, fiscal, and other resources. Responsibilities include personnel development, compliance with regulatory and professional standards, unit strategic planning, and fostering interdisciplinary collaboration. The Supervisor oversees all medical social service functions for the acute hospital and emergency room, performing psychosocial services such as assessment, crisis intervention, utilization review, care coordination, and abuse reporting. May lead process and education groups and provides clinical support to staff as needed. Reports to the Manager of Care Management in the absence of the Director.

Requirements

• Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB) certification.
• LPS Designee (three years post licensure) preferred.
• Master’s degree in Social Work.
• Minimum three (3) years of experience as an LCSW in an acute care and emergency room setting, with a focus on crisis intervention and rapid stabilization.
• Competent in infant, pediatric, adult, and geriatric developmental stages, as well as experience with chemical dependency, terminal illness, and mental health.

Pay

Opening pay range: $92,268.80 to $147,638.40.
