Essential Job Functions
- Conducting background investigations as assigned
- Inquire and investigate assigned alleged instances of misconduct
- Coverage of the Fire Command Center in the absence of a Security Shift Manager
- Coordinating activities with local and state law enforcement officials
- Preparing detailed incident reports in a clear and precise manner
- Reviewing all incident reports for accuracy submitted by Security Officers
- Directing and delegating responsibilities to the Security Officers
- Communicating all policy changes, memorandums, and special events on a daily basis
- Evaluating his/her subordinate’s performance
- Coordinating emergency situations
Qualifications
- A High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required, some college preferred
- Minimum of three (3) years of security supervisor experience in a high volume casino complex environment, or the equivalent combination of education and experience
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Ability to communicate with guests and other employees in a positive manner
- Able to make sound judgments in intense situations
- Able to interface effectively with property management staff, Seminole Police, and other law enforcement officials
- Able to promote an outgoing, friendly customer-oriented personality at all times
- Able to provide adequate protection for the safety and assets of patrons, employees, and the company
- Able to wear a radio earphone without any medical limitations
- Computer literate with proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, and Word
- Able to have a valid Motor Vehicle License with a good driving record
Work Environment
- Exposure to casino related environmental factors including, but not limited to: second hand smoke, excessive noise, and constant interaction with the general public
- Frequent standing, walking, reaching with hands and arms, talking or hearing, and tasting or smelling
- Frequent lifting and/or moving 20 pounds or more
- Specific vision abilities that may be required include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
- The work environment characteristics described here may be representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job
- The Casino environment is hectic, fast-paced, and often crowded and noisy
