About the Role
The Security Supervisor supervises, trains, and coordinates the activities of Security Ambassadors assigned to a shift. This position provides direction to create a safe environment for all Hard Rock Casino guests and employees, maintains employee files, and coaches security employees. The role is responsible for providing superior service to guests by maintaining highly visible patrols, ensuring a safe gaming experience, and supporting other departments.
Responsibilities
- Maintains public order, enforces safety rules, protects property and assets, and investigates disturbances in the hotel, casino, and surrounding facilities.
- Serves as a leader for employees, fostering teamwork, morale, motivation, and open communication.
- Acts as a role model and coach, developing employees with a consistent, approachable demeanor and clearly articulating expectations.
- Ensures team members understand and are held accountable for performance expectations.
- Directs all activities on the assigned shift and monitors compliance with Ohio Casino Control Commission (OCCC) regulations and company policies.
- Supervises and trains staff to ensure adherence to policies and OCCC regulations.
- Monitors incident reports for accuracy and completeness, and enforces the exclusion list.
- Handles service goals, objectives, customer complaints, and claims.
- Counsels, guides, and instructs personnel on proper performance of duties.
- Cooperates with federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies.
- Ensures the safety and well-being of guests and employees.
- Investigates or supervises investigations of incidents involving crime, employee misconduct, and issues affecting the casino and surrounding facilities.
- Reviews and approves documents as needed.
- Trains and monitors Ambassadors in daily duties, including customer and employee relations, report writing, handling company funds, and critical incident management.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- 5 years of law enforcement experience and/or casino security experience.
- 3 years of supervisory experience.
- Ability to obtain a Gaming Occupational License within the State of Ohio.
