Supervisor, Scheduling
Job Overview
The Scheduling Supervisor oversees all aspects of scheduling and coordinating specialty care services for PACE Participants. This includes supervising, training, mentoring, and evaluating the work performance of Scheduling Coordinators and Transportation Coordinators at the assigned site.
This role ensures that the team's ready-to-schedule work queues are managed and that the end-to-end standard scheduling workflows and standard operating procedures are followed per regulatory standards and company policies. The Scheduling Supervisor oversees daily scheduling functions, ensuring the efficient processing of pre-authorization requests and approved referrals. This role also includes supervising the coordination of daily specialty appointments, including daily transportation requirements, and identifying barriers to scheduling specialty appointments and completing scheduled visits.
Key Responsibilities
- Train direct reports and support staff
- Review productivity performance metrics
- Assess annual competencies of staff
- Ensure staff adherence to standard processes designed to deliver safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient, and equitable specialty care services
Minimum Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- A bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred
- One (1) year of experience in a supervisor or management position in healthcare or a related field required
- Experience in process or quality improvement projects or activities preferred
- Knowledge of healthcare software programs/systems (EHR, Epic, Connect) preferred
- One (1) year of experience in medical specialty services appointment scheduling is preferred
Compensation
$68,640.00 - $85,800.00 annually
