Responsibilities

  • Oversee the design, build, implementation, support, and testing of multiple in-house and third-party applications.
  • Ensure the delivery of information technology services by providing direct application team oversight and management.
  • Coordinate with physicians and end users to analyze and document workflows, perform gap analyses, identify necessary process changes, and develop future workflows during the implementation of new solutions or functionality.
  • Provide guidance and act as a resource for other analysts, project managers, and consultants, setting and measuring performance objectives and providing regular feedback and coaching.
  • Understand facility department processes, assess workflows, identify gaps, and define changes for new solutions.
  • Design, build, and configure modules and supporting applications, maintaining system documentation and process steps.
  • Create test scripts for end-to-end workflow testing, perform unit, system, and integration testing, and document outcomes.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and system updates to ensure current knowledge.
  • Ensure software modifications and upgrades meet system specifications and organizational standards.
  • Follow standards for software configuration control, quality assurance, and version releases, documenting system upgrades and new system releases.
  • Lead cross-functional projects using project management skills, tools, and methodologies.
  • Communicate project status, issues, end-user concerns, budget, and milestones effectively.
  • Participate in and lead meetings, reporting status updates, accomplishments, tasks, and barriers to management.
  • Demonstrate advanced knowledge of Epic, third-party solutions, and Microsoft products.
  • Develop collaborative relationships with stakeholders to capture requirements and ensure alignment.
  • Troubleshoot issues, initiate escalation procedures, and recommend resolutions.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Microsoft Office suite experience; proficient in PowerPoint and Visio presentations
  • Experience leading teams and providing feedback
  • Experience communicating complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience
  • Demonstrated creative problem-solving approach and strong analytical skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work with minimal guidance
  • Rapid learner
  • Advanced ability to manage multiple tasks and projects within deadline constraints
  • Advanced knowledge of HL7 concepts and operating within an integrated healthcare applications environment
  • Ability to work with no supervision
  • 5+ years of clinical, revenue cycle, business, or technical background (preferred)
  • EMR application/implementation experience (preferred)
  • Knowledge of clinical/revenue cycle/business/technical workflow (preferred)

Qualifications

  • Associate college degree (A.S, B.A., B.S. or commensurate experience) in a field of study such as business, IS, or a healthcare-related field
  • 5+ years of experience documenting workflow design and identifying areas for improvement
  • Yearly participation in ongoing education either formal or through conferences, active professional organization participation, or journal presentations
  • EPIC Credential (EPIC CRED)

Pay

$83,699.48 - $155,693.55 per year

Certain positions are subject to Florida Level 2 background screening, including fingerprinting, as required by state law.
