Supervisor - Respiratory Care

About the Role

This position supervises night shift Respiratory Care staff, including technicians and therapists.

Responsibilities

• Assist in hiring, onboarding, training, and scheduling staff.
• Oversee job duties and performance of respiratory care team.
• Manage respiratory supplies and equipment, ensuring proper inventory and maintenance.
• Provide clinical support, coaching, and professional development for team members.
• Ensure adequate staffing, monitor performance, address conflicts empathetically, and promote a positive team culture.
• Participate in quality improvement data gathering and evaluate therapy quality.
• Ensure compliance with departmental policies and procedures.
• Maintain department organization, cleanliness, and equipment readiness.
• Support staff onboarding, complete performance evaluations, and assist in payroll monitoring.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy, Science, or related field.
• NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification.
• State licensing as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
• Current BLS certification; ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required within specified periods.
• 3+ years of respiratory therapy experience.
