Supervisor - Respiratory Care

This role provides supervisory leadership over the night shift Respiratory Care staff, including RC techs and RRTs. It involves recruitment, onboarding, training, scheduling, and performance oversight of team members. The supervisor is responsible for ordering and monitoring respiratory supplies and equipment, ensuring optimal inventory levels and equipment functionality. The position requires clinical leadership, coaching, and staff development, fostering professionalism and technical skills. They must motivate the team, provide feedback, and address conflicts empathetically. Additional duties include evaluating therapy quality, maintaining departmental standards, and ensuring a clean, organized work environment. The supervisor also supports new staff, reviews staffing needs, assists with performance evaluations, and manages supply and equipment checks. Qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree in Management, Science, or Respiratory Therapy, and certifications such as RRT, RCP, BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP. They need at least 3+ years of respiratory therapy experience and demonstrated leadership skills. This role emphasizes clinical expertise, leadership, communication, and operational management to ensure high-quality patient care and team performance.
