About the Role

This position supervises night shift Respiratory Care staff, including Respiratory Care Technicians and Registered Respiratory Therapists (RRTs).

Responsibilities

  • Assist in hiring, onboarding, training, and scheduling of respiratory care staff.
  • Oversee job duties and performance of Respiratory Care Technicians and RRTs.
  • Manage respiratory supplies and equipment, ensuring proper inventory and maintenance.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop staff to promote professionalism and technical skills.
  • Ensure adequate staffing, accountability, and adherence to service standards.
  • Address conflicts with empathy and provide constructive feedback.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and monitor therapy quality and departmental policies.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and functionality of equipment and work areas.
  • Provide clinical guidance to staff and perform special projects as assigned.
  • Support staff development, clinical oversight, inventory management, and compliance.
  • Assist in performance evaluations and staffing planning.
  • Monitor supply levels and ensure departmental standards are met.
  • Demonstrate clinical competence and serve as a role model in respiratory care.
  • Foster a culture of trust and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or Respiratory Therapy.
  • Licensure as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) and Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP).
  • Certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP.
  • At least 3 years of respiratory therapy experience.
