About the role
Responsible to the Director of Quality and Engineering for all aspects of Quality Control and Quality Assurance at AAR Component Services – Hot Springs. Provides management oversight of the quality organization, ensuring compliance with company policies, customer requirements, and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Review analysis of activities, costs, operations, and forecast data to determine department or company progress toward stated goals and objectives.
- Ensure personnel have access to applicable company policies and procedures.
- Assure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
- Manage the Technical Publications Library, ensuring necessary technical data is available and current for work performed.
- Oversee the Metrology and NDT Labs.
- Communicate the department’s resource needs.
- Monitor the effectiveness of the quality system and performance of quality personnel, ensuring training needs are met.
- Manage and monitor the evaluation process to ensure reliability and effectiveness.
- Assure the effectiveness of the calibration system.
- Maintain and update repair station certifications.
- Apply to the local F.S.D.O. office for repairman certificates and request changes to repair station ratings as needed.
- Submit reports of defects or un-airworthy conditions to the FAA and operators as applicable.
- Collaborate with management to establish company policies, operating procedures, and goals.
- Manage the fiscal budget.
- Carry out supervisory responsibilities, including interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning work, appraising performance, rewarding, disciplining, and resolving employee issues.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 5–7 years of progressive supervisory experience in a quality environment, with demonstrated leadership in quality control or assurance.
- Strong technical background supporting aerospace operations, including working knowledge of AS9100 and NADCAP standards.
- Ability to apply regulatory, engineering, and quality requirements in a highly technical environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in spreadsheet and financial applications.
- Ability to organize, prioritize work, and meet deadlines.
- Detail-oriented and able to work in a team environment.
Schedule
Full-time, exempt status.
