Supervisor Quality

Job Responsibilities

• Leads high-performing quality team.
• Makes sure there are enough people to do the work.
• Hires, evaluates, and fires employees.
• Directs workers on how to measure and test products and record data.
• Interprets engineering drawings and talks to management or engineers about quality and reliability.
• Analyzes, evaluates, and presents information about production, manufacturing problems, and new products.
• Confers with engineers about quality checks and new products in the market to fix problems.
• Develops and implements ways to handle mistakes and assess costs and who is responsible.
• Reviews problems and procedures in assigned departments and suggests solutions or changes.
• Recommends changes to quality or production standards to improve quality.
• Fulfills safety procedures and uses PPE as needed.
• Identifies and reports potential safety hazards.
• Participates in other projects as needed.

Job Skills

• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, schematics, and diagrams.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Proficiency with diagnostic equipment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in relevant field or equivalent education and experience.
• Three years experience in quality, engineering, or related field.
• Mechanical or manufacturing experience highly preferred.
