About the role
We are seeking an experienced Supervisor in the corrugated industry to oversee the safety, quality, training, development, and productivity of personnel on their shift.
Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day operations of the cutting, finishing, and forming departments.
- Effectively manage the department for safe and efficient operation.
- Assess the performance and training of operating personnel and determine areas for improvement.
- Provide training, development, and feedback for personnel.
- Analyze department performance data to identify ongoing improvement opportunities.
- Enforce safe work practices and lead daily safety discussions.
- Provide quality direction to personnel.
- Lead monthly department meetings, including quality, productivity, process improvements, and safety.
Requirements
- 3-5 years supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong technical skills.
- Ability to develop and influence personnel.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Ability to solve process and production issues independently.
- Experience with lean manufacturing techniques.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and computer knowledge.
- Must be able to work specified shift time, with some weekend work.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required.
- Experience in the production manufacturing industry is a plus.
