About the role
Join UCT's Service Division and be part of a dynamic organization that delivers critical cleaning and contamination control solutions to the semiconductor industry. As a Production Supervisor, you will oversee all aspects of production operations within the facility, working hands-on in the production area and spending 90% of your day on the production floor.
Responsibilities
- Supervise production personnel in the delivery of services, including parts cleaning, etching, and other specialized processes.
- Develop and manage work schedules to ensure on-time delivery and meet customer expectations.
- Hire, train, and develop staff members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles.
- Maintain accurate records and reports, including training and quality control documentation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, working closely with engineering, quality, and other teams as needed.
- Ensure a safe and clean work environment, adhering to UCT's safety and quality standards.
- Manage and improve processes to achieve efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction goals.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery of services and support.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance processes and operations.
Requirements
- Associate's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment, preferably in parts cleaning services or high-tech industry.
- 1+ year of supervisory experience, preferably in a parts cleaning or production setting.
Skills
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Experience with quality control and process improvement methodologies.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions
- Work is performed primarily in an office and manufacturing environment, including cleanroom or production settings.
- Ability to climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push, pull, and grasp.
- May require standing for extended periods, walking, and lifting up to 25 lbs.
- May be exposed to chemicals, noise, and other environmental factors; personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required.
- Ability to stand for sustained periods, move arms, hands, and fingers, and talk on the phone or use a computer for extended periods.
- Subject to hazards including electrical current, moving mechanical parts, and exposure to chemicals and debris.
- Work may require occasional out-of-town travel for training and meetings.
