Supervisor, Production (2nd Shift)

Join UCT's Service Division and be part of a dynamic organization that delivers critical cleaning and contamination control solutions to the semiconductor industry. As a Production Supervisor in Austin, TX, you will oversee all aspects of the production operation within the facility, working hands-on in the production area and spending 90% of your day on the production floor.

Responsibilities

• Supervise production personnel in the delivery of services, including parts cleaning, etching, and other specialized processes.
• Develop and manage work schedules to ensure on-time delivery and meet customer expectations.
• Hire, train, and develop staff members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles.
• Maintain accurate records and reports, including training and quality control documentation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, working closely with engineering, quality, and other teams as needed.
• Ensure a safe and clean work environment, adhering to UCT's safety and quality standards.
• Manage and improve processes to achieve efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction goals.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery of services and support.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance processes and operations.

Requirements

• Associate's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment, preferably in parts cleaning services or high-tech industry.
• 1+ year of supervisory experience, preferably in a parts cleaning or production setting.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
• Experience with quality control and process improvement methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

• Ability to climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push, pull, and grasp.
• May require standing for extended periods, walking, and lifting up to 25 lbs.
• May be exposed to chemicals, noise, and other environmental factors; personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required.
• Ability to stand for sustained periods, lift up to 25 lbs, and move arms, hands, and fingers.
• Ability to talk on the phone and use a computer for extended periods.
• Work is performed primarily in a cleanroom or production environment.
• Subject to hazards including electrical current, moving mechanical parts, exposure to chemicals, and debris.
• May involve exposure to moderate noise levels from equipment.
• Work may require occasional out-of-town travel for training and meetings.
