Supervisor - PACE Day Center Operations

About the Role

Under the supervision of the Operations Manager, you will manage the daily operations of the PACE Center. Responsibilities include hiring, training, evaluating, and any necessary corrective action. You will plan, coordinate, and implement all operations in the PACE Center, working closely with Social Workers, the Therapy team (PT/OT/ST/RT), the Registered Dietician, and the Triage RN to ensure high-quality care and services.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the PACE Center, including staff management and participant care.
• Work with Social Workers to address concerns and provide support to families, participants, and caregivers.
• Collaborate with the Therapy team to ensure recreational activities and wellness classes are provided as scheduled.
• Partner with the Registered Dietician to deliver an excellent dining experience and ensure diets are provided as ordered.
• Work with the Triage RN to ensure Program Aides complete assigned daily tasks and report areas of concern.
• Handle crisis or emergency situations effectively and maintain appropriate participant-to-staff ratios.
• Participate as an active team member in the interdisciplinary care model.
• Maximize productivity while maintaining high-quality care.

Requirements

• Associate’s Degree plus five (5) years of related experience or Bachelor’s Degree plus two (2) years of related experience.
• Preferred: Clinical Healthcare-related Bachelor’s Degree.
• Valid NC Driver’s License, BLS, and First Aid certification.
• Acceptable licenses: Physical Therapist, Physical Therapy Assistant, Occupational Therapist, Occupational Therapy Assistant, Speech Language Pathologist, or Recreational Therapist.
• At least 1 year of experience working with a frail or elderly population.
• Working knowledge of physical, mental, spiritual, transportation, and social needs of the frail/elderly and their families.
• At least 2 years of recent, relevant clinical health experience.
• Demonstrated leadership and decision-making skills with at least one (1) year of supervisory experience, including coaching and mentoring.
• Knowledge of principles, practices, standards, and techniques of personal assistance services.
• Working knowledge of quality improvement and cost containment systems.

• Experience working effectively within an interdisciplinary team model.
• Ability to plan, prioritize, and delegate responsibilities efficiently.

• Confidence and positivity in working with impaired adults.
• Ability to handle crisis or emergency situations appropriately.
• Flexibility to adapt to staffing needs and maintain participant-to-staff ratios.
• Active participation in the team process and direct communication of program concerns to supervisors.
