Supervisor - Operations (Supply Chain Services)

Responsibilities

  • Cook up employee work assignments to meet inbound and outbound service requirements
  • Drive achievement of performance objectives related to productivity, quality, service, and safety
  • Keep track of workflow, work completed, error rates, and take corrective action
  • Ensure procedures are followed, implemented, and enforced
  • Make sure quality and inspection processes are accurate and excess costs are minimized
  • Maintain a safe working environment and follow safety regulations
  • Keep accurate time, attendance, and performance management records
  • Build positive relationships and morale among employees
  • Propose performance management actions
  • Develop and implement training certification programs
  • Set and monitor performance standards for warehouse functions, including pick, pack, and ship
  • Manage returned merchandise and establish performance standards for equipment, assembly, housekeeping, etc.

Qualifications

  • High School Degree or Equivalent required
  • Fork Lift Certification preferred
  • 3 years warehouse and distribution operations experience
  • 1 year experience leading warehouse associates
  • Ability to operate a forklift or obtain a forklift certification
  • Strong knowledge of inventory control processes
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong time management skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to learn and use business planning systems
  • Ability to resolve problems in a timely manner under stressful situations
  • Comfortable working in a team environment
  • Ability to operate hand and power tools and equipment
  • Ability to anticipate and prepare for customer needs
