About the role
Supervises and coordinates activities of workers concerned with ordering, receiving, storing, inventorying, issuing, and shipping materials, supplies, tools, equipment, and parts in a stockroom, warehouse, or yard.
Responsibilities
- Reviews inbound appointment log and open order report each day to plan work activities.
- Plans inbound and outbound schedules to meet customer metrics.
- Determines staffing needs based on workload and schedules staff accordingly.
- Assigns workers to specific duties based on workload and shipping schedules.
- Reviews and updates operational procedures, ensuring they are communicated to and understood by warehouse associates.
- Tracks productivity and qualifies performance by individual, function, and department.
- Works with Inventory Control to ensure the highest level of inventory accuracy.
- Manages payroll of the department.
- Advises employees on handling items received, stored, and shipped; methods and use of equipment; and related problems.
- Traces history of items to determine reasons for discrepancies between inventory and stock control records; recommends remedial actions.
- Determines work procedures, prepares work schedules, and expedites workflow.
- Issues written and oral instructions.
- Ensures proper safety procedures are followed.
- Maintains harmony among workers and resolves grievances.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of supervisory or management experience in logistics, warehouse, distribution, or supply chain environment.
- Experience leading a team of 50+ direct reports.
- Safe food handling and temperature-controlled storage experience.
- High school diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred experience: 3PL, freezer operations, USDA imports and exports.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Directly supervises 50+ employees in Operations.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws, including interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning, and directing work.
- Appraises performance, rewards and disciplines employees, and addresses complaints and resolves problems.
Schedule
Wednesday to Saturday, 5:30 PM to 4:00 AM.

Pay
The anticipated starting salary range for this position is $60,000 - $65,000. The Company may adjust this range based on prevailing market conditions, location, and other factors. Final starting salary will be determined in accordance with all applicable laws.
