Supervisor of Procurement & Fleet Services

About the role

The Supervisor of Procurement & Fleet Services will lead strategic procurement, fleet operations, and warehouse services. This position plays a vital leadership role in managing multiple operational areas, including purchasing, fleet management, inventory control, contract administration, and equipment services.

Responsibilities

• Lead formal bidding and procurement processes in compliance with applicable laws and District policies.
• Administer fleet acquisition, assignment, maintenance, repair, replacement, and disposal programs.
• Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships while monitoring vendor performance.
• Analyze operational and financial data to improve efficiency and support strategic decision-making.
• Supervise, mentor, train, and evaluate staff.
• Aid in the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and operational best practices.

Requirements

• Valid California Class C Driver's License.
• Driving record acceptable to the District's automobile insurance carrier.
• Ability to regularly operate District vehicles as part of assigned duties.

Qualifications

• Completion of two (2) years of college coursework.
• Six (6) years of progressively responsible experience in procurement, fleet management, warehouse operations, or related fields.
• At least three (3) years of supervisory or management experience.
• Demonstrated experience in either public procurement and contract administration or fleet management operations, with working knowledge of both functional areas.
