About the Role

DICK’S Sporting Goods is seeking a full-time Supervisor of Distribution II to join our distribution center team in Ft. Worth, TX! This role supports the Shipping Conveyable Department within the DC on the 1st Shift Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM.

Supervisors of Distribution II are directly accountable for providing service to retail stores by coordinating all aspects of operational responsibilities through the distribution center. This position impacts company profitability by maximizing productivity, efficiencies, and quality in distribution center operations. The role is responsible for making workflow decisions in the absence of a manager.

Responsibilities

• Forecast and respond to production volume and manpower needs to maximize productivity and ensure quality.
• Train, develop, and supervise non-exempt associates.
• Promote and maintain high associate morale and safety.
• Coach and counsel associate performance and attendance issues.
• Maintain established throughput standards.
• Meet budget goals and productivity standards.
• Develop and implement methods and procedures to improve efficiency and safety of operations.
• Maintain the security of all merchandise and capital equipment in assigned departments.
• Assign special projects related to the business and/or operations to expand knowledge of the facility or company.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years of experience in Distribution Center management.
• Distribution systems experience preferred.
• Retail experience preferred.

Schedule

1st Shift: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
