About the role

The Distribution Supervisor operates a warehouse with inbound and outbound freight shipments that are processed within a short timeframe. Supports business products by collaborating with vendors, customers, and other internal support groups for the movement of international and domestic air and ocean shipments. Monitors and manages facility performance to ensure materials are processed in a timely manner and meet customers’ requirements. This position oversees, evaluates, and corrects the performance and outcomes of a team or multiple teams, coordinating work across the organization to optimize efficiency.

This role supervises a team(s) that performs work according to standardized processes or procedures (e.g., entry-level Professional Expertise, Administrative or Technical Support). Sets priorities for the team to ensure task completion; coordinates work activities with other supervisors. Problem solving is guided by policies, procedures, and the local business plan; receives guidance and oversight from manager. Typically, does not perform the work supervised.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily facility activities related to loading and unloading containers, pulling orders, freight sorting, and customer support.
• Conduct facility inspections and handle employee concerns.
• Make key workforce decisions, such as hiring, onboarding, transferring, laying off, disciplining, assigning, directing, instructing, developing, and rewarding employees.
• Align processes and foster cohesion among team members.

Requirements

• Candidates must be located in the same geographic location as the position or be willing to relocate at their own expense.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or National of the U.S., an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. for this employer.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of logistics/warehousing experience – Required
• Healthcare/distribution experience – Preferred
• Previous Supervisor/Management experience – Preferred
• Bachelor's degree and/or 3 years of UPS experience – Preferred

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Specific scheduling details will be discussed during the interview.
