What You Will Do

Captures, assesses, and communicates to ensure the delivery of quality patient care in a defined clinical area. Scope of role includes: department/ unit operational coordination; quality controls and improvements; regulatory compliance; set implementation of standards, procedures & policies, etc.; evaluation of best use of resources; internal and external customer satisfaction; and professional development of staff.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or Education deemed necessary for related field.
  • 2 Years Recent Pertinent Clinical Experience.
  • California Registered Nurse (RN) - CA Board of Registered Nursing - REQUIRED
  • Hospital Employee Health Agency (HESA) Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional (AHA BLS Healthcare) - American Heart Association - REQUIRED

Essential Functions

  • Budget Adherence
  • Maintains budgeted salary expense per unit of service.
  • Identifies and/or participates in implementation of cost reducing or revenue enhancing ideas.
  • Contributes to utilization of supplies in a cost-effective manner that supports delivery of care within budgeted supply expense per unit of service.

  • Collaborates with other disciplines/departments to resolve identified issues.
  • Aids Staff in problem solving and prioritization of patient care.
  • Collaborates with Physicians to resolve identified issues.
  • Demonstrates resolution of operational issues as negotiated with director.

  • Affirms employee files are current and complete.
  • Affirms appropriate hiring/staffing for department.
  • Provides feedback about employees' performance both constructive and positive.
  • Aids staff to resolve identified learning / performance issues.
  • Orients / Mentors staff into new roles.
  • Develops staff's leadership skills.
  • Aids others learn and grow.
  • Quality Assurance
  • Identifies and develops action plan to resolve quality issues.
  • Identifies clinical learning needs and implements plan to assure learning achieved.
  • Implements systems to inform / monitor staff compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
  • Achieves / Maintains specialty certification in clinical area of practice.

Pay

$77.910 - $100.530 - $112.590

The stated pay scale reflects the range that Sharp reasonably expects to pay for this position. The actual pay rate and pay grade for this position will be dependent on a variety of factors, including an applicant’s years of experience, unique skills and abilities, education, alignment with similar internal candidates, marketplace factors, other requirements for the position, and employer business practices.
