Supervisor, Maintenance - GWW - US

Responsibilities

• Supervises the daily work and safety of associates engaged in building, grounds, sanitation, refrigeration systems, beverage department, power industrial equipment, and security.
• Reviews, coaches, and develops the maintenance associates.
• Makes sure work adheres to policy and safety requirements.
• Issues discipline when necessary.
• Facilitates ongoing interaction with associates through regular department or pre-shift meetings.
• Keeps open communication channels with associates by answering questions and explaining policies and procedures; monitors associate morale.
• Sets and manages expectations for associate engagement and enablement.
• Supervises the proper selection, purchase, utilization, and inventory of company assets in support of the facilities, beverage department, and power industrial equipment and security departments.
• Collaborates with other departments to ensure upgrades and repairs are completed efficiently and effectively.
• Aids in developing business relationships with third-party vendors, including janitorial, pest services, security, external contractors, facility maintenance, and beverage departments.
• Maintains current certificates of insurance and hold harmless agreements for all contracted vendors.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 3 years of on-the-job maintenance experience with electric pallet jacks and electric forklifts.
• Understanding of general building maintenance, refrigeration, plumbing, processing equipment, welding, and AIB preparation.
• Ability to manage and motivate.
• Able to solve problems and effectively articulate and communicate information.
