About the role

Purpose: The Lit Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the cigar lounge area, ensuring professional and courteous service to guests, and providing in-depth information about cigars and related accessories. This role involves supervising and mentoring Team Members, managing inventory, and maintaining high standards of guest service and product knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the supervision, mentoring, and training of Team Members, including bar staff, to ensure effective communication and operational excellence; conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
  • Deliver exceptional guest service by assisting with inquiries and purchases both in person and via phone; proactively resolve guest issues and complaints with professionalism and efficiency.
  • Manage cash handling procedures for both the lounge and bar areas, including processing various payment methods such as cash, charge cards, checks, gift certificates, and comp slips; ensure daily paperwork accuracy, including deposits, variances, and shift reports.
  • Maintain and organize the humidor, point-of-sale area, and bar to ensure aesthetic appeal and functionality; maximize inventory levels, rotate stock regularly to preserve product quality and freshness, and manage bar supplies effectively.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive knowledge of cigar products, service techniques, and the cigar lounge environment; share expertise with guests and Team Members to enhance the overall guest experience and promote product understanding.
  • Oversee bar operations, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and alcohol service regulations; conduct regular training sessions to enhance beverage knowledge and customer service skills among bar staff; coordinate bar service for special events within the lounge.
  • Provide basic beverage service as needed and perform other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the cigar lounge and bar areas.

Requirements

  • Education and Experience: Two (2) years of experience in Food & Beverage or Bar operations, preferably within a cigar lounge or similar environment.
  • One (1) year of experience leading others in a supervisory or lead role preferred.

  • Customer Service Excellence: Dedicated to providing outstanding customer service, with the ability to handle inquiries and complaints with professionalism and tact.
  • Organizational & Time Management: Skilled in managing multiple tasks simultaneously, ensuring efficient operations and timely completion of responsibilities.
  • Training & Development: Experienced in training and developing Team Members to enhance skills and improve service delivery.
  • Adaptability & Flexibility: Capable of adapting to changing situations and flexible in scheduling to meet the demands of the business.
  • Financial Acumen: Competent in managing financial aspects such as cash handling and reconciliation, ensuring accuracy and accountability.

Pay

Starting salary range: $64,328.29/yr – $70,761.12/yr, depending on experience, with opportunities for annual performance-based increases. Potential career earning trajectory reaching up to $92,632.74 annually over time.
