About the role

Responsible for management of the daily operations of the Learning Commons. Responsible for staff recruitment, hiring, development, orientation, and training. Monitors departmental activities to ensure adherence to established financial and personnel policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Direct supervision of support staff, coordination of their work schedules, managing their workflow and responsibilities, and assigning special projects
  • Staff development, orientation, and training; staff recruitment and hiring; recommending disciplinary action; completing performance evaluations
  • Knowledgeable with both PT and FT union contracts as they relate to daily operations of the department
  • Maintains budget activities, reconciles variances, advises Associate Director/Director as necessary, and assists with the preparation of the annual budget
  • Maintains departmental activities to ensure adherence to established financial and personnel policies, procedures, and guidelines
