Job Summary
The Laboratory Supervisor oversees laboratory support functions including Customer Service Call Center, Pathology Support, and Support Administration. They provide support for the staff of the individual laboratories, collaborate with managers, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate activities of one or more laboratories and create/update policies and procedures.
- Conduct annual reviews of lab policies and procedures with the Administrative Officer.
- Assist Health Record Systems Manager in maintaining interfaces with health record systems and outside vendors.
- Ensure compliance with CLIA regulations and conduct monthly audits of laboratories.
- Oversee OSHA compliance and coordinate OSHA inspections with the office manager.
- Support development and training opportunities for laboratory staff.
- Collaborate with management team as necessary.
- Manage routine CAP testing and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Perform bi-annual OSHA inspections.
- Analyze and evaluate lab tests to identify areas for adjustment/improvement.
- Remain up to date with lab charting procedures in electronic health records.
Technical Capabilities
- Knowledge of Allied health practices and CLIA regulations.
- Ability to lead and supervise laboratory staff.
- Experience with electronic health record systems.

Position Qualifications
- Certifications: Cytotechnologist, Histotechnician, Histotechnologist, Licensed Medical Laboratory Supervisor, Medical Laboratory Scientist, Medical Laboratory Technician, Pathologist's Assistant.
- Education: Bachelor's degree.
