Supervisor, Inpatient Case Manager RN

Overview

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is hiring a Supervisor-Inpatient Case Manager Registered Nurse. This position is full-time day shift.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse - BSN Required
• 3 years case management
• Prior supervisor experience

Responsibilities

• Assumes responsibility, accountability and leadership for the daily operations including coordination of work, quality, and service.
• First line supervisor in the Department of Inpatient Case Management for assigned hospital location.
• Facilitates the work of assigned team members.
• Provides a leadership role in ongoing case manager competency assessment, needs identification and educational offerings.
• Provides educational services to the Medical Care Management staff.
• Participates in the work activities of assigned teams and provides case management services as needed.
• Functions in one of the following practice settings: Hospitals only.

Certifications

• Certification in Case Management (CCM, CMAC or ACM-SW) required within one year of eligibility.
