Responsibilities
- Define and execute best practices of the warehouse.
- Responsible for supervision of Material Handler.
- Responsible for establishment and supervision of a daily task program for the Material Handler.
- Supports the different development groups with their material distribution.
- Manages daily cycle counts and ensures accurate inventory levels within ERP system.
- Responsible for managing all shipping and receiving activities.
- Responsible for cleanliness for all warehouse areas.
- Responsible for Epicor transactions between warehouses and pilot operations and revise documentation regarding material receipts and the corresponding Epicor transactions.
- Responsible for ensuring personal and company compliance with local and company regulations, policies and procedures for Health, Safety and Environmental compliance.
- Responsible for part management with the Buyer, Pilot Operations and Quality.
- Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
Supervision
- Direct supervisory responsibility for: Material Handler(s)
- Leadership Responsibilities: Plan, schedule, assign and monitor warehouse activities to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks.
- Provide guidance, coaching and support to warehouse personnel.
- Review and approve completed work, ensuring adherence to company standards and operational requirements.
- General supervision: routine duties are performed with minimal supervision; standard practices or procedures allow proceeding alone at routine work; occasional check of work while in progress; work is reviewed upon completion.
Skills and Abilities
- Ability to work in a self-managed work team environment.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Ability to determine priority and work to efficiently manage multiple tasks throughout the day.
- Hold self and other accountable for accurately processing material transactions.
Education and/or Experience
- Direct warehouse operations with 4-5 years of experience including at least 1 year being a supervisor.
- College degree preferred.
- Epicor or other ERP experience preferred.
- Proficient personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.
Physical Demands
- Moderate noise (examples: business office with computers and printers, light traffic)
- Ability to lift/carry up to 25 pounds and load/unload material and equipment from trucks.
- Must be able to climb stairs/ladders to reach material on shelves.
